Skills Acquisition & Economic Empowerment Programme
About Campaign
In many parts of Northern Nigeria, unemployment and economic vulnerability particularly among women and youth remain significant barriers to sustainable development. Limited access to vocational skills, financial resources, and formal markets continues to restrict economic participation and self-reliance.
At the same time, local communities possess untapped potential in traditional crafts, small-scale enterprises, and emerging business ideas. However, these opportunities are often hindered by lack of technical skills, poor product standardization, weak market linkages, and limited access to regulatory support such as business registration and certification.
Addressing these gaps requires a holistic approach that not only builds skills but also strengthens local economic systems, supports small businesses, and connects beneficiaries to formal structures and markets.
